Day 5

It was a windy and bumpy ride to the train station, with everybody holding onto their bags for their dear lives. Upon reaching the train station, we were greeted by almost total darkness, as the area outside the train station was not well lit. The train station wasn't really what many of us would have imagined it to be, but nevertheless it served its purpose well. There were stalls selling snacks and drinks, and students could be seen flooding the shops to get hold of them.

Then came the wait. The long and boring wait. The supposed arrival time was delayed from 2am to 3.45am, so we had to wait for around 2 hours for the arrival of the train. Imagine the atmosphere at the train station; people dozing off at every pillar, groups of students playing games, and the smell of nasi lemak drifting by you. When the train did arrive, it again wasn't an easy task. We had to rush to the other end of the train, as our cabin was located there. Rushing down the line with a hand full of bags and snacks wasn't an easy task, but the school managed to get onboard the train, safe and sound. Hooray for PHS! =D Then came the second long wait. The train ride to Singapore was a full 8hrs, so we had plenty of time to chat, eat, drink and sleep. As a matter of fact, the 8hrs was too much for some of us. Some of us couldn't sleep on the train, because it was far too cold. Others were just too tired to chat, and quickly dozed off.

preparing to enter the train when it's not even here??

getting impatient??

The train!! its finally here!!!

The train had air-conditioning which was beyond our expectations and the inside of the train looked better than what we thought it would be. Walking to the other end of the train was tricky, and we would not able to find a seat in the 'canteen' located somewhere in the middle of the train. Still, it was pretty exciting to know that it was a first-time experience for some, and many of us were just glad that we were on our way home. Upon reaching the station, we then got down the train and made our way to the checkpoint. Passports were scanned, bags were checked.

The inside of the train...

its morning!!!

trying to entertain ourselves on the train...

We soon bade each other farewell after Mrs Tan blessed all of us with a prayer. Throughout this trip, we went through thick and thin as a class. No matter what, we'll always be there for one another. The class spirit would not stay in Taman Negara but instead, continue on for the rest of the 2 years that we will be together. One for all, all for one! Cheers people!

united we stand,

divided we fall

With all these, we ended our Taman Negara Trip 2008...
